HealthServe Australia Inc. needs resources for general administration costs. A percentage of all money given as tax-deductible gifts to the Overseas Aid fund is used for administration purposes in Australia. However, a great deal of time and effort is given voluntarily to the work.
Specific donations to this account through one off donations or through Project 200 to HealthServe Australia Inc. are therefore most welcome. Donations to this account though but are NOT tax deductible.
Project 200 is set up to encourage donations for regular giving of $200 per year by members and friends of HSA. If for example 200 people gave $200 each year to this fund, it would provide a valuable base of $40,000 per year for expansion of the work.
The PRIME (Partnerships in International Medical Education) project,
- Australia based activities are to train Australian health workers on how to adapt to overseas situations, teaching in a holistic way. Donations to this work are NOT tax deductible.
- Overseas activities (such as teaching trips) are handled separately and ARE tax dectible.
General donations to HealthServe Australia where the donor gives no other details, are treated by HSA as tax-deductible, and placed in the Overseas Aid working account as general unallocated gifts (OA - general fund). HSA reserves the right to use these funds as it sees fit according to the particular needs at the time.
